The Afghan Hound is a hound distinguished by its thick, fine, silky coat, and a tail with a ring curl at the end. The breed originates in the cold mountains of Afghanistan.
The Afghan Hound is a majestic sight with its long, flowing hair and piercing eyes. Known for their independence, intelligence, and loyalty, they are a very old dog breed, with a history dating back thousands of years. The Bedouin people of Afghanistan bred these dogs to hunt gazelle and other small game in the harsh terrain of the Afghan mountains.
